Annual Report Academic Year-2009-10

The Fraternity of Sarvanaman Vidya Mandir is delighted to acquaint you about our performance and achievements in various scholastic activities during the Academic Year 2009-10 and inform you about other facets of the school.

Academic field :

1.In academics our percentage passing result in the home examinations conducted so far is 96% and average class result stands fairly at distinction level.
2.This year First batch of std X will appear for the Board Examination. The preparation for the same is well underway.

We pursue a unique pattern of teaching learning supported with activities and audio-visual aids comprising smart class educomp module.
A rigorous revision session under the able guidance of teachers and trial exam before actual exam help students write their exams well.
The result is being analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively personally by the principal and Managing trustee to ensure attainment of excellence and discuss upon area of improvements.

Games and Sports:

Games and Sports are very important. Physical fitness along with mental fitness is a priceless possession of any human being because it serves as a base for any future development.

Zonal level:

1. Our school teams of various age groups participated in CBSE West Zone skating championship-09-10
hosted by New Era Secondary school at Baroda.
2. Our school team under age group 14 participated in CBSE Cluster IX Kho- Kho tournament hosted by
Smt. S. R. Patel School, Dakor.

National level:

This is a matter of great pride for us that our student Miss Hetashree Patel was selected from Zonal level Meet and participated in CBSE National level Skating competition at Chandigarh .
Annual sports Meet was a mega event for two days in the month of December comprising various field and track events.

External Examination:

In addition to regular academic courses of studies students are encouraged and motivated to participate in different external tests and examinations in order to instill a sense of confidence so that they may prepare themselves to face today’s competitive world.
1. In this series our 3 students participated in CBSE Heritage India Quiz.
2. 82 students participated in National Cyber Olympiad in which 3 students were selected for second level. Among them 01     of our students got a merit medal.
3. Our 40 students participated in Drawing competition and 8 students participated in handwriting competition organized     by Students development Society, Pune. We received certificates and a trophy of the best performing school. Miss     Binita Patel stood 3rd and received a medal for good handwriting.
4. Our students take active participation in Science exhibition at various levels with their Innovative and educational     exhibits as and when organized.
    The same trends of success have been maintained in the field of art and drawing also. So far they have participated in
    a. National level ‘Always Green Always Blue’ painting competition and
    b. ‘Save Energy’ organized by NTPC Shaktinagar.
5.17 students appeared for Classical instrumental and vocal singing exam conducted by Brahad Sangeet Samiti.
Children are being nurtured and pruned under our able and hardworking teachers.

Co- Curricular and Cultural Activities:

Maintaining the outstanding show in the field of co- curricular and cultural activities organized at school level

our students participated in various activities like

1.   Handwriting competition
2.   Elocution competition
3.   Recitation competition
4.   Story telling competition
5.   Watch and whip competition
6.   Poster making competition
7.   Rangoli drawing competition
8.   Inter-class group dance competition
9.   Patriotic song competition
10. Garba dance competition

The activities like seminar, symposium, project presentation, power-point presentations in science are scheduled to be conducted in the forthcoming months.
We do celebrate all festivals with a great pomp and zeal. Every sunday is special day to learn some domestic, art and craft skills.

Infrastructure:

The school has well equipped infrastructure with spacious Computer lab, an Audio- Visual aids lab, Physics, Chemistry, Biology labs, Maths lab, language lab, a rich Library, Guidance and Counseling cell, Drawing, Music, Sports and Games, Activity rooms .The students make the maximum use of these available resources.

Teachers’ Achievements:

Our efficient and able team of teachers is using updated and ultra modern techniques like L.C.D projector, Educomp smartclass modules in order to impart education effectively. Teachers are offered in-service training or refresher courses so that they can magnify their professional skills. This year our teachers attended the training courses either in group or individually titled as

1. School based Teachers orientation program for 10 days,
2. Memory technique skills,
3. The leader in me
4. Introduction to Continuous and comprehensive evaluation method for Std IX and X.
5. Introduction to Smart Class Educomp module.
6. Adolescence Education Program

We organized some activities in Guidance & Counseling under the able guidance of experts for std X. P.T.A. Meetings are being conducted after examinations and in between so that parents may be acquainted with the progress of their wards.
Our school is recently inspected by CBSE for up gradation to Senior Secondary level. On getting approval we will commence Std-XI for Commerce and Science streams.

Conclusion:

P.P. Hariprasad Swamiji envisioned empowering womanhood aiming at providing the knowledge, nurturing skills, developing abilities, shaping attitude, and instilling beliefs in girls that are essential for a productive and successful life. We, all are committed to achieve these objectives set forth by His Devine Holiness

We always receive a tremendous support from P. Fuaji, P. Rajubhai, and Sinha Sir , who guide us from time to time and make our way easier. We are fortunate to have P.Khandu Mama, the Honorable Trustee, P.Bhailal kaka, P. Sahaj Didi, P. Sanjay Sir who do not relax in the chair, they sleep with the dreams and awake with the commitments for the betterment of this school.

And of course, we have been able to do our best for the students, due to kind cooperation and support that we receive from our beloved parents..We are thankful to them for extending their valuable co-operation and suggestions from time to time.
